Has anyone played the little organ at St Mary's in Faceby Yorkshire. It's just a single keyboard. I can't remember if there is a pedal board. There was an appeal for restoration funds when I was last there (2005). If you have any knowledge of the instrument or someone who would, please contact me. |

My mother's family are from Faceby. When I was there about 30 years ago I played the organ and visited with Rev. Robert Robson. My next visit was in 2005 and I found the organ in need of restoration and Rev. Robson buried in the churchyard. The link to NPOR you provided is very much appreciated, do you know how to find any more information about Rev. Robson? I have written to the present currate but had no reply. |

Perhaps a second letter to the curate could be beneficial.
This web page may also be of some assistance, as it would appear to have been updated only a couple of weeks ago. Making contact with the writer of the page, Colin Hinson, may help via his "error report" link at the foot of the page. Opening the link gives another link to Colin's Email address.
Best of luck
Lance

Thanks, I had been wondering what link you were suggesting. I've just sent and e-mail to Colin. |

Colin was very helpful. He had the name and address of Revd Robson's widow. I've posted a note to her.
Thanks for your help, I'm most grateful. |
