Hiya everyone.

I am interested in Julian of Norwich, and am quite excited that her "day" is approaching (May Cool.

I am contemplating writing a special Mass for this day.

Does anyone know if there are any works that use her words?

Are there any specific hymns for use on her day?

Does your Church celebrate her day?

So many questions!
(I am new to all this!)

Cheers
Chris

As I share my birthday with Julian of Norwich's commemoration day, I feel that I should offer some sort of help.
Sydney Carter wrote a song "Julian of Norwich" and the music is available from Stainer and Bell http://www.stainer.co.uk/carter.html in two different albums referenced as B500 and B885.
The Anglican lectionary also suggests that Psalm 27 vv5-11 and Psalm 103 vv1-4, 13-18 would be appropriate.
At St.Francis' Church, Lonsdale St., Melbourne, one of their choirs is called The Julian Singers. Whether there is any connection or not to the Lady Julian of Norwich, I cant say, but their musical director may be able to shed some light on that for you. http://www.blessedsacrament.com.au/StFrancisChurch/stfhp5.html

Hope your celebration goes well, and good luck with your Mass.

Lance
