Hi everyone I'm new on here. Very Happy Thought I'd introduce myself: I'm wicked and I'm a chorister.
A bit bored as the two choirs I sing in have both broken up for the Summer and not sure what to do with myself. Kind of missing it all, the singing and the social life. Any suggestions welcome.

Welcome Wickedchorister!

Can you give us an idea of where you are a chorister and which line you sing? Shocked Do you play the organ as well? Cool Just how wicked are you???? Twisted Evil

There's always BBC 3 Choral Evensong Very Happy every Wednesday if you crave the glories of Anglican Church Music, and Humphrey Clucas's new book (Taking Stock) is a good read if you want to find out a bit about life at The Abbey.Twisted Evil

And of course, you can have hours of enjoyment on this Forum. Wink

Cheers

Lance

Ah another wicked one! Welcome! Twisted Evil

Do tell us more about yourself. And Lance is right: BBC3 CE is Wednesday's major event, though sometimes I don't have the opportunity to listen to it until a few days later.

Cheers,
Jason Very Happy

Thanks for the welcome! Very Happy
I sing in two choirs at my local cathedral: alto in the girl's cathedral choir and soprano in the parish cathedral (voluntary) choir.

so far have plans to sing in Carlisle cathedral for a week this summer followed by Bath Abbey. But can also check out choral evensong on the radio. And then there's always checking out the visiting choirs whilst the cathedral's on holiday.

Oh and I dont play the organ. After many months of practice i finally managed to play a hymn once. But can't seem to split my brain into three parts (i.e. two hands and feet- guess that could mean four parts!) very easily.
