This coming October our Episcopal Church and the city it is located in will be celebrating our bicentennial. I am the director of the Children's Choir at my Episcopal Church and we have been asked to perform at the Founder's Day Celebration. The coordinator requested that the children might sing literature or anthems that Colonial Children (or a congregation) might have sung 200 years ago. HELP!!! Does anyone know of any literature or anthems or at least know where I might begin my research in trying to find this music?
Thanks!

How proficient is your children's choir? What comes immediately to mind are some of the canons by William Billings as well as some of the other New England composers.
