Isn't it just Very Happy I frequent another forum from time-to-time which is primarily US based, and the facilities they just seem to take for granted are a world away from us over here, witha knackered organ, choir of 6 elderly ladies and no money! Sad

BTW: Did you notice the name of the director of the children's choir? Twisted Evil

A different world indeed where there is plenty of oil money. Couldn't resist pasting a quote from the url you posted: (emphasis mine)

The liturgy at St. Martin's includes classic Anglican music and a blend of renewal and contemporary sources performed in classic style. Our Parish Choir is comprised of some 85 members including professional staff singers. The choir sings 52 weeks a year and for principal Feast Days. Our Children's Choirs sing on special occasions throughout the year. Orchestral Instruments often augment our Gloria Dei Organ and Baldwin Concert Grand Piano during worship services and special musical events.

John, how did you happen on this?

You sent me the url, but it didn't work. If you give me the name, I could just Google it. I'm always curious what's going on in the US. And I'd be delighted to have San Francisco's Grace Cathedral within commuting distance here in the UK! Laughing Laughing

Hi JAson,

it's called '

The Organ Forum

I chanced on it a few weeks back, and look in from time to time. Lance posts there too.

Just off to my last choir practice at Curry 'Cathedral'
