I am looking to find an online contact with an Anglican Church/Cathedral Gift Shop in the UK so that I may find and purchase an item that I have not been able to find locally.

If you know of any church gift shops that advertise and sell online, I would very much appreciate information on how to contact them.

Regards,
Susan

This is probably far too late, but I know that our Cathedral, Wells, advertize their giftshop online at:

www.wellscathedral.org.uk/shop/products.shtml

I would guess that most other cathedrals do likewise.

Hope this is useful.

Regards,

Nigel

Also let us not forget:

www.spck.org.uk

They have a vast inventory for virtual shopping. Alas, the actual retail experience in person can be variable. When I asked for help at the Winchester store, the young, snotty gal told me she had no interest in religion. (Good on ya- and maybe you would be better off at a McDonald's?)

Nigel, I may be visiting Wells in May. It is the only major British cathedral I have not seen. I dearly hope to catch CE.

Well worth it - one of the best provincial cathedral choirs - I've not met the new Organist, Matthew Owen, yet. And the building is magnificent. Our modern-day engineers would struggle to emulate the scissor arches with all the computer technology at their fingertips -and those guys did it on a slate!

Malcolm Archer worked wonders with that choir and I'm sure they will continue the great standard under their new director.

And I'm sure he will do wonders at St. Paul's. I'm very fond of his music, conservative as it is.

And he's a very nice chap to meet. Very pleasant, approachable and supportive of even the smallest parish church choir.
