I couldn't agree more - very nice piece to play, this organ is on my wishlist to own as a home practice organ. |

You've been a bit quiet lately, Rob.
Are you still at the same Parish Church and has the PCC seen the light and allowed you to get the external speakers you always wanted?
Cheers

Hi Lance, I do check the message board on a daily basies but it seems to have gone quiet of late.
I'm still at the same parish, whilst I was away on Holiday they had a PCC, so I asked my Rector because I asked him to get something done about it still not good news - he's supposed to come and have a chat with me about it all I had briefly "They are on a tight budget" I'm thinking to myself what a load of crap - But I need to know more on what went on.
Can you see my point about doing Fund Raising ideas to raise money of this idea?
Then this coming Sunday I'm going to get full answers on this If I don't like what I'm hearing they shove their organ were it hurts, and I know of a Church that is looking for an organist on a 2 Manual Allen Organ.
Cheers

The third of those Youtube clips is delightful. One of my other passions is Theatre Organ, and to make this sort of music on such a small church organ shows real talent!
The organ is at St.Mary the Virgin, Rufford, Lancashire, and the specification can be found here:

I spoke with my New warden, and she under stands my views, it seems to me on what she said they have to get money to keep the Church open of around £1,500 to keep it open I don't know the full ins and outs of it, but I'm not giving up hope on this and there must be way to get my fund raising into gear.
Do you know what really prissies me off - I sent Makin Organs 5 Emails over the last two Months about what was done on the last Service visit, I want to know what they have done to my organ because its rubbish the sound has been "Muted" and they not replied to none of my emails at all I find that most rude I feel like phoning them and asking what is going on?
It should be my responsibility to liaise with Makin Organs on investments, Yes if there was a cost involved either to the Rector or Warden about this, but what annoyed me most the previous warden Roger Williams had the tounge of the cheek to ask Makin to service the organ without my consent.
When I do finaly get hold of Makin I'm going to ask them to come back down and undo all the previous work that they done on this organ, including Volume Control adjustment and Stop Volume Adjustment ect. |
