Really, I rather fancy
Kelly in C

I have over 180 services on my iPod and just finished listening to it... |

The great thing about being a girl is that we can multi task -a necessary thing when singing Kelly in C i.e. we can count and read at the same time _________________ There's more to life than Rutter |

The Kelly in C was performed at St. Thomas, 5th Ave, probably in early December with the composer present about 8 rows from the chancel. The choir did a terrific job with it, and Mr. Kelly rose to a hearty ovation following the Rector's comments. Not sure if this would be in the webcast archives, since this service started around the start-up time. I believe only 3mos of material is offered.

Kelly was not at all 'too difficult' for these boys. Not sure if you have browsed their Choir School site on-line - well worth a visit. Their 'gym' was constructed with the same acoustics as the chancel. They are 2 blocks from Central Park for activities. Old brownstones were sold to a developer behind MOMA - and in exchance a magnificent residence/school that was constructed on W58 St. such a deal ! |
