Come to advent carols at Llandaff this Sunday and see the new cathedral lighting. They're going to be turned on officially for the first time and apparently they're wicked!

I went to Cardiff a few Saturdays ago, to hear David Thomas playing the organ for the Cardiff Organ Assoication, not a bad organ but it badly needs work done to it, am I right in thinking that the Choir Organ is high up in that big thing in the middle crikey!!

Shocked

As you're not singing in Llandaf, WC, perhaps you'll come to Zummerzet for our Advent Carols. It's at 10.00 but the church is completely blacked out. Should be good ........... Cool

Apparently the West Window uplighters blind the ringers as they make their way accross the western Gallery, but other than that my dad quite likes the new lights.

I hope that won't mean the ringers falling (like the ungodly) into their own pit Confused

Mind you, they'll have the angelic WC to hold them up, 'lest they dash their foot against a stone'

The new lights are wicked! They're blue. No strobes though Sad

That's why I'm hungover today, I had to go out to celebrate the new lighting.

not sure about bits of the organ being in the majestus. Apparently one of the gold angels fell off him and hit a choirboy on the head a few weeks ago
