I am trying to find a hymn which has a chorus beginning - take this bread it is my body, take this cup it is my blood. I remember hearing it, but have no idea how the verse began or what book it was from. Any help please |

Hi, Yvonne,
I remember a song sung by Baptist Pastor Robert Colman on one of his recordings, which exactly fits that description.
Robert Colman is an Australian, lived in Melbourne for years. Went to Queensland and returned to Melbourne.
This definitely wasn't a hymn, but is a song that could be used in reflective worship, the words you quote are all part of it. The title was "Communion Song". Right now I can't lay my hands on the sheet music to get the details for you.
I have digitised a number of his old tapes, not sure if that is one; please get back to me if you want me to pursue it. _________________

Nice website, eagles.
I understand what you mean about the typos. Have to go into edit mode myself frequently.
Cheers and thanks for joining the forum. Talk to us on the waffle.

I use them on several other forums, but I don't believe that feature is enabled on this site. And thanks for coming on to the "waffle". Watch out for Tom- he's a young wiz. |

It just means it's a little picture of something beneath your name on the posts. We could ask the administrator to enable this feature.
I visited Portsmouth Cathedral today- very interesting. Also stopped into Chichester Cathedral- had not seen that since 2001. Lady Chapel is closed for restoration. On the train back to Brighton I saw the Lansing College chapel in the distance. Thought of you.
Cheers,
