It will be at St. Claire's Episcopal Church in Pleasanton CA.
I will play as part of the church service(not a "concert").
On the program, will be the second movement from Mozart's Bassoon Concerto K.191, and hopefully the Allegretto movement from one of Scarlatti's sonatas for Double Bass and Piano.
This will be my third solo performance. My first solo performance was in 2001, playing an etude from Dragonetti, a movement from one of Telemann's cello canons, and the first movement of Henry Eccles cello sonata. This was at the end of the 2000-20001 season. I spent the rest of the season, playing in the Livermore-Amador Symphony, and studying with Michelle Burr(Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra), and Andy Butler(Oakland Symphony).
I'm especially looking forward to performing the Mozart, because I'm playing a candenza that i transcribed from Richard Stolzmans version of the same piece, but on clarinet. |
