Hello Tom- welcome back! Haven't heard anything from you in a while. Will you resume listening to BBC3 CE? Your comments are welcome.

My favourite canticles:

Dyson in D
Brewer in D
Gibbons Second Service
Howells in G
Kelly Jamaican Service
Moore First Service
Sumsion in G (full choir)

No favourite: Rubbra in Ab or Noble in B minor. Lord deliver me. Wink

Cheers!
Jason

I agree Kelly Jamaican is pretty good. Also like:
Leighton in D
Jackson in G
Howells coll reg
Howells st john's service
But sometimes you just cant beat Sumsion in G aka 'have a banana'! or Dyson in D

I know that setting- it is wonderful! Curious to hear it? It's on Priory's Mag & Nunc series- volume 16. (Worcester Cathedral)

It's listed for boy's voices recorded by St. George's Church, Belfast on Priory - http://www.priory.org.uk/Catalogue/magnificat_and_nunc_dimittis/prcd633.htm Is that the one?

John.

hey all!

taking one of my free periods to tell you of a wonderful canticle i heard on radio 3 a while back. it was from st Johns and it was the Phillip Moore - sancti johanis cantabridgiensis. i thought it was amazing and i think it should be done more often! does anyone have a copy of it by chance? would like to introduce it in chapel choir at school! hope all are well!
Cheers, Tom
