What's NewThe major item of news is that this site has now been recovered from the dust and cobwebs. It is a sub-site of Anglican Church Music, with the same webmaster - John Watkins. The last major updates were made in 1999. I have made some corrections, but there is a lot to check. Most of the images are lost. Cathedrals List

information, and details of musical events in St Giles' Cathedral I was surprised just how many girls' choirs there now are. From the information supplied to me, it appears that only Manchester Cathedral has a mixed top line; other cathedrals with girls' choirs have a separate service for the girls alone or for girls and men. In Scotland, Saint Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, also has a mixed treble line (there is a 1988 CD which has 14 boys and 7 girls). In Wales, St David's Cathedral has the only full-time, all-girls top-line in the main choir. In the service details on each cathedral page, the choir is boys/men unless otherwise stated. Several people have asked whether I will be including Roman Catholic cathedrals - no, I shall not be inviting organists to answer my questionnaires, but if any organist (or other associated musician) wishes to send me details, I shall be happy to create a page.
